Growing Groves of Positivity
Hi everyone! My name is Lindsay, and I am 41 years young. I am a mother of 2 toddler girls, a wife to a wonderful man, and I am living with a chronic condition called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. I spend most of my days balancing my bodies ability to stay upright and to control my heart rate and pain, all while working, going to school and managing home life! I know what its like to feel like your life is out of control, I know what is like to live with a chronic illness, and I know what it is like to feel like I can’t find a balance. I am writing to let you know that I am just like you. I am trying to find my balance, and life. I was unable to continue working as a Paramedic due to my illness, and at 40, I am now starting over and finding a new path. I wanted to share my journey with you, and have you join the grove of people finding their purpose. You are not alone! Lets do this!
What I do for balance
- Attempt Yoga
- Eat chips, lots of them
- Meditation (with kids in the background)
- Anything that makes me laugh, like Schitt’s Creek
